Visit the special palace!
The Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg grants visitors of the Music Festival entrance to Babelsberg Castle, the special palace 2007, on a reduced rate (2,50 € without guided tour; 3,50 € with guided tour). Babelsberg Castle was built in 1833 by architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel, following the traditions of the English Tudor style. It is surrounded by a landscape garden designed by Prince Hermann von Pückler-Muskau. The palace and its ballroom are traditional venues of the Music Festival. We invite you to make use of this opportunity to get to know another one of the jewels of Potsdam's cultural landscape.
 
Visitors of the Music Festival assist in a special project
The Potsdam Sanssouci Music Festival, in cooperation with the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg, helps with a very special project of restoration: The restoration of the Peristyle at the Orangery Palace in Sanssouci Park.The Peristyle is temporarily closed by order of the building inspection department but will be reopened and used as a venue for the Music Festival in 2008. All tickets for events in historical venues and gardens include 1,00 € dedicated to this project, so every visitor will help with this small sum. This way it is possible to help to preserve and restore the unique venues of the Music Festival for the future.
